Matt Ratcliffe ‘Unity’

Classic Hammond organ-led quartet - 'hip' Blue Note era grooves

This exciting Hammond organ-led quartet - featuring sax, guitar and drums – bring alive uplifting music from the 1960s Blue Note era: burning-tempo modal jazz, swinging blues, gospel, Latin-infused grooves and more.

Taking its name from Larry Young's seminal album ‘Unity’, this superb quartet play with tightness and raw energy on such ‘hip’ tunes’ as Moontrane and Do It Now!

Line-up: Matt Ratcliffe Hammond organ, Nadim Teimoori tenor sax, Sam Dunn guitar and Jim Bashford drums

"Nadim's voice on the tenor is thoughtful, melodic, harmonically advanced, and creative. Beautiful!" – Chris Potter
