Eastside Jazz Quartet

Mon 16th Jun | 7:30pm

A great chance to hear tomorrow’s jazz stars! Meet and hear these talented recent graduates from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Course

Leading bassist Arnie Somogyi has put together this showcase of recent graduates from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Course, who perform regularly at their campus club Eastside Jazz, and elsewhere around the city.

Their gig features music from two of the giant figures in jazz - bassist Charles Mingus and pianist Thelonius Monk. Both were bandleaders and composers of jazz repertoire that has more than stood the test of time.

Alongside these tunes, the quartet will play original compositions and reworking of classic jazz standards.

Be there to enjoy this wonderfully varied repertoire from top-quality musicians who are among tomorrow’s jazz stars!
