Beat the 'winter blues’ by relaxing in the warmth of ‘bluesy jazz’ taken from the classic 1960s album Midnight Blue

Relax and ‘chill’ in the warmth of this homage to Midnight Blue, a classic 1960s Blue Note album that featured Kenny Burrell's smooth melodic guitar alongside Stanley Turrentine’s warm and earthy tenor sax, backed by an ace rhythm section of percussion, drums and bass.

This quintet of top local musicians embrace the album’s vibe perfectly.

Line-up: Cliff Brown guitar, Paul Gray double bass, Ian Beestin drums, Richard Kensington percussion, Ben Martin tenor sax

Quotes from Wikipedia article about Midnight Blue: "one of the great jazzy blues records" (NPR in 2005) and if“you need to know 'the Blue Note sound’ here it is” (Jazz Inprov magazine).

Book now for an evening that promises to envelop you in the warmth of classy ‘jazzy blues’.
