Hannah Horton Quartet

Thu 10th Sep | 7:30pm

Bold, melodic jazz with heart, soul and groove - a band led by a melodic maverick!

Hannah Horton is a melodic maverick, an artist who goes her own way. An award-winning saxophonist and composer, she is one of the most distinctive voices on the UK jazz scene, known for her compelling sense of melody, lyrical tone and the emotional honesty that runs through every performance.

With her powerful rhythmic sense, unmistakable tone and strong sense of narrative, Hannah’s music bridges the worlds of modern jazz, soul and folk, blending sophistication with warmth and accessibility. Critics and audiences alike praise her ability to combine groove, space and melody into something deeply personal and irresistibly engaging.

Her latest (and fourth) album ‘Stories on the Wind’ captures Hannah at her most expressive and imaginative yet. Each track tells its own story, carried on a breeze of baritone depth, tenor lyricism and fearless musical interplay.

With a distinctive tone and a compelling sense of rhythm, Hannah’s music is unashamedly personal & strikingly accessible, a rare balance that has won her acclaim from critics, audiences, and peers alike.

Hannah has performed at many of the UK’s most prestigious venues, including Ronnie Scott’s, Barbican, Royal Festival Hall, the 606 Club and the EFG London Jazz Festival.

Beyond the stage, Hannah is also a passionate educator and mentor. Through her acclaimed youth ensemble J Steps, she supports young female and non-binary musicians, championing creativity, confidence and equality in jazz.

Don’t miss this chance to catch one of the UK’s most exciting jazz artists at a pivotal moment in her career. Expect new material, magnetic interplay, and music that speaks straight to the heart.

“Hannah plays with so much soul and emotion.”  Tony Kofi
