A paen to Alan’s life-long saxophone hero since first hearing the Art Pepper Discoveries album aged 15, this hand-picked all-star band celebrates the centenary of Art’s birth. Alan reinterprets Art’s many evolving playing styles through the highs and many lows of his life – struggles with addiction, periods in jail and rehabilitation – before a series of successful ‘come-backs’. Pepper died in 1982, an honest musician who played with all his heart and soul.

Jazzpac events are run by volunteers who organise live jazz events held at the Bue Room in Lincoln. We have an annual program of around ten gigs a year presenting the best national and, occasionally, international musicians on the jazz scene today. Tickets for our events are available to book in advance although on most occasions will also be available to buy on the door. Whether you're one of our many regulars or it's your first time at one of our jazz nights, you'll always get a warm welcome from our volunteers on the desk and by the staff at The Blue Room. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like any more information about our jazz evenings at this charming venue in Lincoln's historic uphill area.
