With more than 40 years of professional experience in virtually all fields of music, Richard Exall has honed his talent as an internationally acclaimed jazz artist on saxophones and clarinets. Along with Gary Wood, he leads his own versatile jazz quintet hand picked from the most in-demand musicians on the circuit today.

The Richard Exall / Gary Wood Quintet performs a wide range of musical styles, with the defining feature of the music being melody. Some of the most beautiful tunes penned by the best songwriters of the 20th century; the band is happy to perform the early jazz wonders of George Gershwin, Fats Waller and Ray Noble to samba/bossa nova favourites from Stan Getz, through to hard swinging bebop, and modern funk/fusion and pop tunes.
