Jazz Northants continues its mission of keeping live jazz thriving in the region, hosting a superb run of ticketed performances at The Duke, Stanwick. These intimate shows bring acclaimed touring musicians from across the UK straight to Northamptonshire audiences, helping keep this vital music alive and accessible.
Edison Herbert Quartet featuring Simon Spillett
Guitarist Edison Herbert brings his quartet to Northampton Jazz for an evening of straight-ahead jazz played with energy, soul and
imagination.
Known for his melodic playing and deep connection to the jazz tradition, Herbert leads a band of exceptional musicians through a programme of standards, originals and favourite tunes from the jazz canon. The quartet's performances are built on strong ensemble playing, creative improvisation and a genuine love of the music.
Joining the band for this special performance is leading UK tenor saxophonist Simon Spillett, whose powerful sound and boundless enthusiasm make him a perfect fit for the group's swinging approach.
A night of first-class jazz from musicians who know how to communicate with both each other and their audience.
