MOJA is an expanding and flexible collaboration in which seasoned campaigners from the local jazz scene mix with some of the most exciting younger musicians in the East Midlands.

THIS IS A FREE SHOW SO THERE ARE NO TICKETS. PLEASE MAKE A DONATION THROUGH THE BUTTON AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE.

Dan Johnson - guitar
Lucas Walters - keys
Jack Benjamin - electric bass
Owen Campbell - percussion
Jamie Sykes - drums 

The band play a melodic mix of original compositions, mixed with tunes from the classic years of the Impulse record label from artists such as Pharaoh Sanders and Alice Coltrane, tinged with the rhythmic influence of hip hop and drum'n'bass. There may even be an old jazz standard or two.

This “Jazz in the Park” event is FREE. Derby Jazz is paying the musicians. There are no fences, no port-a-loos and no food stalls, just great live music.
