Freddie is one of the UK’s most exciting jazz trumpet players, known for his rich tone, lyrical improvisation and charismatic stage presence. He has become a stalwart of the British Jazz scene as a member of the Ronnie Scott’s Club Quintet, jazz-rock outfit Fletch’s Brew, first-call sideman and as a compelling band leader in his own right. Tonight, he salutes legendary trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, with a band of the highest quality.

‘Fluent tonal authority, from warmly conversational to eloquently strident’ – Daily Telegraph.

Band playing at Lincoln's Blue Room

Jazzpac at The Blue Room

Jazzpac events are run by volunteers who organise live jazz events held at the Bue Room in Lincoln. We have an annual program of around ten gigs  a year presenting the best national and, occasionally, international musicians on the jazz scene today. Tickets for our events are available to book in advance although on most occasions will also be available to buy on the door. Whether you're one of our many regulars or it's your first time at one of our jazz nights, you'll always get a warm welcome from our volunteers on the desk and by the staff at The Blue Room. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like any more information about our jazz evenings at this charming venue in Lincoln's historic uphill area.
