The third Lincoln Jazz Festival weekend takes place in Lincoln’s spectacular Cathedral on 19th/21st/22nd July, 2024. This historic landmark once again plays host to leading national and international jazz musicians, continuing the Cathedral’s centuries-old tradition of celebrating live music.

London-based Canadian trumpeter Jay Phelps presents an exceptional show that brings together the best of Miles Davis from 1958 and 1959. Prior to the 1959 release of the groundbreaking Kind of Blue album, Miles was already working in the studio with the same extraordinary line-up: Cannonball Adderley, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers and Jimmy Cobb. The year before Kind of Blue, Miles released ’58 Miles which set the stage for his best-selling jazz album of all time the following year.
