Gary Reader has been a constant creative force on the East Midlands music scene, culminating in his most exciting work, "Mae Be For Ever", which will be premiered at this concert.
The album is a heady mix of Jungle/drum & bass influences while still deeply rooted in the music of Pharaoh Sanders, Albert Ayler, Archie Shepp and both Alice & John Coltrane...a true spiritual journey.

With 124 seats, the same as New York's legendary Village Vanguard, a superb natural acoustic and excellent sightlines this studio theatre is ideal for jazz. It's part of Chapel Street Arts Centre in the building that was previously the home of Déda opposite Chapel Street Car Park in Derby's Cathedral Quarter.
The CUBE bar/cafe serves drinks before the show and during the interval.
