One of the outstanding gigs of the 2021 Herts Jazz Festival was a quartet featuring Jonathan Gee and Denys Baptiste. It is a real coup to bring these musicians to Leicester. Backed by a superlative young rhythm section, award winning virtuoso saxophonist Denys Baptiste and group leader, Jonathan Gee, one of the most prolific and imaginative pianists on the current UK jazz scene, constitute a remarkable quartet which should not be missed.
