Arts Council funding explained: free online workshop with Declan Westwood: Oct 22nd (Free)

Wed 7th Oct

Have an idea for a new project, event or the next stage of your creative practice? Join mjazz on Thursday 22 October for a free online workshop exploring Arts Council England funding.

Finding the right funding can be an important step in taking an idea forward, but understanding the options and application process can feel daunting. This workshop offers an accessible introduction, with time to ask questions and explore your next steps.

We’ll be joined by Declan Westwood, Relationship Manager at Arts Council England, who will introduce the organisation and two funding programmes relevant to individuals and smaller projects: National Lottery Project Grants and Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP).

The session will explore what Arts Council England does and who it supports, the differences between the two programmes, and how to identify which might suit your idea. Declan will also discuss how to approach the application process.

Whether you’re a musician looking to develop your practice, a promoter considering a new event or someone with a creative project in mind, this is an opportunity to build your understanding and put your questions directly to an Arts Council Relationship Manager.

There will be plenty of time for questions, so bring along the things you would like to understand about funding and applying.
