The Y Theatre is a bustling live performance venue in Leicester city centre. Built in 1900, the Y is the oldest surviving theatre in Leicester. The Y is opposite the railway station and has restaurants and pubs nearby. It is next to a NCP car park, though cheaper on street parking can be found in the vicinity. It is on the main bus routes. The Y can seat up to 300 people, though most jazz gigs are set out as candle-lit cabaret style events. There is a bar. There are wheelchair spaces in The Y Theatre auditorium and wheelchair toilet & washing facilities. There are also wheelchair spaces in the East Street NCP car park.
