Leicester Jazz House CIC is a volunteer-run not-for-profit organisation bringing contemporary jazz of the highest quality to Leicester and the county.
Our programme of events run from September through to June of the following year, with bi-monthly gigs at our regular venues the Attenborough Arts Centre, The Musician Venue & Bar and the Y Theatre.
We have been a leading local jazz organisation for over thirty years and are one of the Midlands based voluntary jazz organisations, partly funded by Arts Council England, working cooperatively under our new regional organisation "mjazz".
In partnership with local organisations such as the Leicestershire Music Hub, Cosmopolitan Arts, The Leicester Music Network, De Montfort and Leicester universities we are active in promoting jazz in education. The Jazzhouse radio show broadcast weekly on Melton Mowbray community radio 103-The Eye is also available as a Podcast at https://jazzhouseradioshow.podbean.com/
We have an active LOYALTY CARD SCHEME whereby regular gig patrons are rewarded with the opportunity of free entry after attending several prior gigs.
